Wavin Ekoplastik presents the new FIBER BASALT OXY pipe!

02 Feb 2017

In 2013, after three years of complex research, the company Wavin Ekoplastik finally introduced the unique multilayer BASALT FIBER PLUS pipe at the Moscow Aquatherm exhibition. At the time, joining propylene and basalt was a technological breakthrough in the field of pipe manufacturing.

The BASALT FIBER PLUS pipes have a very distinctive material composition, dominated by the next generation polypropylene PP-RCT material and basalt fiber. This pipe was the first time in the world when this unique combination has ever been used and it gives the pipes improved technical and hydraulic parameters, namely higher temperature and pressure resistance.

Within several months, the new pipe gained considerable renown and are currently sold in many countries all over the world.

The company Wavin Ekoplastik has now developed a successor to this popular product. The new four-layer FIBER BASALT OXY pipe is based on the proven formula, as it joins next generation polypropylene PP-RCT and basalt fiber, newly combined with an oxygen barrier. The pipe has thus gained new and outstanding features and is designed mainly for central and high-temperature heating.
