Solution to the problem of deterioration of engineering systems in Moscow – results of 2019 and plans for 2020

The deterioration rate of engineering networks in Moscow decreased by 3% in 2019.

In 2020, it is planned to construct more than 1,400 kilometers and reconstruct over 600 kilometers of engineering networks. Their average deterioration rate should be reduced by 1.5%. 13 metro stations, six transport hubs, as well as over 70 socially significant objects - hospitals, educational and other institutions - will be connected to the heat supply system in 2020.

180 kilometers of main heating networks were constructed in 2019 and 120 kilometers of them were reconstructed. Over 70 sports facilities, 30 health facilities, as well as Europe’s largest indoor amusement park “Dream Island”, were connected to the heat supply. Thanks to the reconstruction of the Maryinskaya pumping station, it was possible to improve the quality and reliability of heat supply for residential buildings and urban facilities located in the districts of Maryino and Brateevo.

Under the program, over 1.7 thousand kilometers of heating networks were built and reconstructed by 2019 inclusive. Deterioration decreased by 2.5% - from 46.5% to 44%.

It is planned to build 150 kilometers and reconstruct 140 kilometers of heating networks, as well as reconstruct the equipment of the Biryulyovo-Borisovskaya and Perovskaya pumping stations in 2020.

Over 120 kilometers of the water supply system and about 65 kilometers of the sewer network were built and reconstructed in 2019.

In total, over 1 000 kilometers of water supply and almost 500 kilometers of sewer network were built and reconstructed by 2019 inclusive. Deterioration of water supply networks was reduced by 1.3 % (from 49.8% to 48.5%), and sewage networks – by 2.6% (from 50.2 percent to 47.6 percent).

In 2020, over 100 kilometers of water supply and 56.5 kilometers of sewer networks will be constructed and reconstructed. In addition, the “Rainbow” water intake unit will be modernized and its productivity will increase to one 1 000 cubic meters per day.

Zelenograd sewage treatment plants are also being reconstructed: there will be built a department for mechanical dewatering of excess activated sludge.

Over 250 kilometers of cable communication collectors were built and reconstructed in 2019. Deterioration of collector networks was decreased by 8% (from 25% to 17%).

In 2020, work will be carried out at 27 sites. A comprehensive reconstruction of the Profsoyuzny, Manezhny, Leninsky-83, Sosnovaya Polyana and Zapadny collectors with a total length of 6.54 kilometers, modernization of the TsTD, Novokonyushkovsky, Panfilovsky-2, and Vavilovsky, Transagency with a total length of 8.35 kilometers and a complex of collectors“ Zaryadye ”with a length of 2.9 kilometers is planned in 2020.

In 2019, more than 23 kilometers of drainage networks were updated, which is 67 percent more than the planned reconstruction indicator. The high pace of work allowed reducing the number of problem areas for water accumulation in Moscow from 2785 addresses in 2011 to 64 addresses in 2019.

Over 240 kilometers of drainage networks were built and reconstructed by 2019 inclusive. The decrease in their deterioration amounted to 0.8% (from 43.8% to 43%.)

Another 14.5 kilometers of drainage networks will be built and reconstructed in 2020.
