Many of us remember a plot of one story since our childhood. There is a blind man walking through the evening streets. In one hand he holds a cave, in another one – a lantern. A comer boy asks a question, “What for have you got a lantern?”, a blind man answers “ that you could see me”. Far not everyone ponders over how ill children live. Saying nothing of those who every day has to stand hard treatment procedures. It’s difficult for healthy people to imagine such a mode of life.
On the 4th of May thanks to the attempts of the fond “Podari zhizn(Present a life)” in the Russian children’s clinical hospital a hematological department was opened. It’s a unique department, where children from all over Russia with the rarest and most complicated diagnoses undergo treatment for anemia gravis, myeloblastoses, juvenile leucoses and so forth. Every year about 250 children get treatment in the department of general hematology. Little patients need treatment supported with high-tech hospital-based care and obligatory a clean air.
By the opening children on their own had prepared a puppet play “Three pigs”. There were much more guests than available seats. A lot of spectators were affected to tears. There was really a full house!
“I have no words”, Chulpan Khamatova shares her impressions looking at children playing with air-balloons, ”Though in some cases there is no need in words. Good deeds are quite enough. One look at children is enough to see that there is no unnecessary help, there is no care that could be in vain. I believe that all these children will be healthy and happy. And this is the best award.”
One of the main points for successful recovery is a sterile air. Even dust particles with accumulated microbes are a big danger for children’s hospital patients.
Egoplast chiefs couldn’t stay aside. Within short terms a Russian producer and supplier of engineer equipment provided ventilation equipment of high quality by a famous brand Rosenberg (Germany). New engineer systems meet all requirements perfectly for such a kind of offices and satisfy European standards. Under the auspices of sponsors wards, treatment rooms have been repaired, furniture have been changed and new medical equipment has been bought.
But even the best equipment is just equipment. Communication and spectacular events are much more important for children. It’s just a few hours of devoted attention; a few hours when there are so many interesting events that it seems the time begins running faster; a few hours of permanent holiday. Such hours are worth being strived for.
